Detailed timings for the laying up of the
Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry
(Prince Albert’s Own) Guidon on Saturday 14th
May 2022 at All Saints Church, Newtown Linford

General; Parking is available and will be
in a designated car park as indicated by marshals on the day.
The Trustees of Bradgate Park operate a paying car park which
requires a credit card payment on exiting.
The Squadron will parade from the car park
to the Church of All Saints where the parade will halt prior to
the church service and the laying up of the Squadron Guidon.
Following the service all attendees will move to Bradgate Park Hunt's
Hill Car Park where the annual service of remembrance will
be held at the Leicestershire Yeomanry Memorial within the park.
It will then move to the Bradgate Arms, Newtown Linford for a
reception with buffet to which all are welcome, where car
parking although not extensive is free. It is advised that all
attending bring a coat in the event of wet weather.
0930. Arrival and park in designated car
park.
1030 Parade forms up. All former and
serving squadron officers may form up with the parade and march
to the church with members of the LDY association should they so
wish.
1040 Parade steps off
1050 Arrival of parade at church of All
Saints.
1100 Church service led by Revd Richard
Trethewey
1145 Service ends and move to Hunters Hill
Car Park.
1230 Memorial service begins at Old John
(Leicestershire Yeomanry Memorial).
1300 Depart for Bradgate Arms in Newtown
Linford.
