The PAOLYC & Derbyshire Yeomanry Cavalry are together as the
"6th Yeomanry Brigade" at this time. The Brigade senior Officer
is Colonel Chandos-Pole, DYC, and the Brigade Adjutant is
Captain C J Kavanagh, 10th Hussars (who was also the PAOLYC
Adjutant from 1895 to 1903).
PAOLYC Officer at Garendon Park Camp in 1901. The headdress appears to be the Baden-Powell
Scout type and probably just a personal preference for this
particular Officer? This Officer can also be seen in the picture
below. Note the "blank" sabretache of the PAOLYC.

he is also pictured in 1898 with C Squadron PAOLYC at Garendon
Park in Leicestershire.
Officers of the PAOLYC and the Derbyshire Yeomanry at Aston Park
Camp in 1900. Colonel Chandos-Pole, DYC and CO 6th Yeo' Brigade,
is seated fourth from the left. An un-named Staff Colonel is
sitting to the right of the lady seated in the centre of the
picture.
Major W J Martin (left), started in the Yeomanry in the
19th November 1881 as a sub Lieutenant.

below). The two officers in the back of the cart are from the
PAOLYC, (left) Mjr. W J Martin and (right) Lt. R H Ratcliff.
A Captain from the 1st Kings Dragoon Guards and part of the DYC
at Aston Park camp in 1900, he is possibly the outgoing Adjutant
at the end of his tenure.
